So as some might know my 240g's side came off one night and my entire livingroom and the girl downstairs' livingroom both got wrecked.

Anyway, for a couple days while raging, i considered never going back to this hobby, but ofcourse, i can't keep myself away from the hobby, so i went out and got myself a pretty little 15g tank and gear, and some plants, and figured i'd do a planted setup. Something tiny and easy to maintain, while i work on fixing my bigger tank.

I have been running with this 15g planted for a few weeks now, and i just am not happy with how it looks.

So basically, long story short, what can i do to improve from here?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

I think it looks really nice!
Black gravel would make it stand out more especially that it's right at the window.

I actually thought of going with black gravel at first, but i wanted a more natural jungle-like look to it, and imo black gravel looks too fake

Keep them coming guys!

ANY suggestions are welcome

maybe a small piece of driftwood in that empty area in the front right corner?

I'm not a big fan of plants and sand . . . I prefer a darker substrate, not necessarily gravel, but more of a soil look . . .

DO nothing. It looks great! Reminds me of a beach... speaking of which, I bet the surf is pretty good today... wtf am I doing on here...

i think it looks great! if i were to change anything, id move the 'bald spot' to 1/3 or 2/3 section of the tank, sort of like a little valley in between.
