I bought this guy from PetSmart as an experiment to see what he would turn into. As a baby he was ugly. Very ugly. He was dark and brown.
He was raised in a tank with a larger Flowerhorn. The other flowerhorn tried to bully him and chase him around the tank, so he spent most of his time in a pot, only really coming out to eat. And boy did he eat. He was a voracious eater.
The other flowerhorn was getting too aggressive with him, so I was going to move him to another tank I was getting ready. But like flipping a light switch, this all changed. One day the larger flowerhorn was relentlessly chasing this guy around the tank. The very next day I hear splashing and find the large flowerhorn (double this guys size) pinned up in the corner of the tank, cowering and getting attacked by this guy. Not only did he turn evil overnight, but he went from ugly brown to bright red and blue. The next day when I checked on this guy in his new tank, he had a good sized kock on his head, where the previous day he didn't have the slightest bump.
Now nothing can live with this guy. He is evil.
