Hi,

I just remodeling my old 180 gal. tank. I had before in it: 2 x Black Arowana and 5 x Stingrays - True Hystrix. This is how it looks before.

I already bought for Hystrix New Tank - they are finally in new "home", happy and with more space for swimming.

In old one, right now I have 2 x Black Arowana (20 and 22") and 4 x Pleco L114 (baby - 2"-4") (hidden in driftwood).

I removed one big driftwood and added 4 smaller. I changed a substrate (Mix - Super Naturals Rio Grande Substrates - 20lbs and Super Naturals Torpedo Beach Substrates - 40lbs). Had removed 3M Grade T White (was too bright)

I added Java Fern - Microsorium pteropus 'Narrow' and change a little bit Anubias.

I'm planing to change lights from T5 to Halogen Lamp like in my second tank.

Movie is showing my both tanks.

Thank you ;)

Nice, love the ray tank. What are the little schooling fish, just feeders for the aros? Seems like the two blacks get along OK, just maybe a bit of quarreling?

Thank you Brian. When I had started with this tank you helped me a lot. You taught me a lot. Even with a basic knowledge such as Cycle Tank etc. I send you many PM's ;))))

These small fishes are probably Danio. At my local store they don't have gold fish (feeders) and they've sold me (same price) something like that for my stingrays and Arowanas. Not recommended - they are much faster than GF and even Arowanas have problems catching them ;) But it looks nice :)

Aros get along very well. I had on beginning maybe 2-3 small fights but after that they look like lovers ! They always stick together... The smaller Arowana when I was changing substrate jumped out of the aquarium. It has a small injury on the side and the fins are not in a perfect shape. It should be OK, though.

I rather have danios than goldfish.
Goldfish are rather poor feeders

Nice I do like the look of small schooling fish with monsters. My blacks won't eat many small fish. Usually I have a school of either serpae and/or black skirt tetras in the tank. One fish that seems to really get the blacks all worked up are giant danios. The danios are quite fast and seem to trigger the predator instinct within the black aros.
