Hello I am new to this forum, never had any fish big enough to be considered MONSTER. I though i would post some picks of my 180 gallon project, already in progress, and ask for any pointers and do or do nots from the seasoned vets on this site.

I plan on having:

1 Albino Oscar
1 Tiger Oscar

2 Green Terrors

1 Silver Arowana
and 1 18" Black Shark.

The first pointer is...you can't link to pics directly from your hard drive. :D

Just be ready for that Aro to out grow that tank pretty quick. I've never had one, but every one that I've read about grew fffffast.

so lets hear your ideas then you can get pointers,

What kind of substrate, sand gravel? etc.

What type of filtration?

How are you going to plumb it?

What are your decorations going to be like?

Are you going to paint the sides of the tank? ( the short sides to make it a real room divider)

lets hear your ideas then you can get some add ons

it will be a three sided tank so no painted background.
i am using play sand
using a 60 gallon sump for filtration.
and pvc for the plumbing.
I am in the process of filling it and praying my diy stand is as overdone as i think it is.

will upload pictures later.

fingers crossed
