My 180 setup

Finally got the 180 up and running, will post pics after the uv install.
Comments about filtration are welcome.

fx5 filled only with ehisubstrat, is this ok?
2-marineland 350's with biowheel
quiet one 4000 running into a ocean clear 325
2- inline hydor heaters 1 outlet to a spray bar and 1 to a normal output
2-koralia 3 to keep the movement across the bottom of the tank.
1-emporer aquatics uv on the way.

Will be stocking with pbass
I guess my main question is should I run some pads in the fx5, I have fine pads and polish pads. Thanks for any input Chris

The single benefit that Ehfisubstrat offers is surface area... any physical waste that your FX5 collects will very quickly start clogging the pores that create the vast surface area... Therefore not using thorough prefilters / Mechanical Media before your Bio Media is working against yourself...

Thanks for the response, Im new so I wasnt sure. Its only been running for 3 days with no fish. When I install the uv I will throw the pads in the fx5.
