My 180g build

Hey guys, sorry I didnt get as many pictures as I did with the 100g build, but here goes.

180g, 60"x30"x24" with 75g custom build glass sump. standard size. I have mopani wood soaking in tubs along with the Quikrete All-Purpose Sand (thanks fishman09). Beamworks 48" LEDs will go on it, but they are currently on my 100g. Still have a few more pieces of plumbing to get and I'll be ready for water!

Heres a quick update enjoy.

Cleaning out the sump, testing the chambers...


Let the water sit overnight. All is well ;-)


Laying out the parts, making sure we had everything. Ironically, this was the most frustrating part, but it wasnt that bad in the grand scheme of the project. Only made 7 trips to the hardware store - all in one day. It's okay though, better to measure 10 times and cut once. ;-)


Deciding on how to deal with the precut 2" hole and how we're going to line up the hard plumbing.


Started a little bit of elbowing and hose routing.

Love seeing this come together. This has to be the most OCD build on MFK, I'm having a blast. Have you decided what lighting your going to use on this setup yet?

Has anyone ever used one of those "uniseal" bulkhead fittings before? I am undecided yet but so far think they are pretty cool. Water tight and no messing around with a nut i kind of nice.

Thanks bro. Cleanest one I've ever done. The secret to one clean bead is the preperation beer lol. Wait until everybody see's what we are going to do with that hole in the top and the minature socks you bought, it's going to be epic!
