Got rid of my 120g that was under the 180g so I decided to chop 12" out of the stand. Now top of tank only 48" off ground. Setting up 2 tide pool sumps that I had laying around and a mag drive 18. For those interested stand is made from2x2x1/8" tubing. Stock will be one aro and my Leo and Henlei rays.

Interesting how you have the tidepools connected.

Yea I got them like that. I'm not a fan of them but I will run them til I get the motivation to make a custom glass or acrylic sump. I should probably try to get a 2" pipe to connect them. But the 1.25" seems to work ok

Interesting,is it because of the limited capacity of the tide pools that you are not big on them?...I remember when they first came out and I wanted to try one on my tank but I didn't need it at the time.

Yea they don't hold much. So you really got to watch water evap. I will have these jam packed with bio balls and matrix I ditched the bio wheels in them and all the drawers. I cut the water deflectors out where the inlet is. So water will flow on top of a drip tray with filter pad and thru the bio that's it. . When I get time I want to make a 60x18x12 sump.

That should be one helluva sump.I have an older bio wheel that Marineland used to make..It is designed to sit down into a pre existing sump and the wheel is about twelve inches in length and probably ten inches in diameter...I may dig it out to use in my 265's system.
