this last weekend i went fishing on lake mohave on the boarder of NV and AZ. For the first time in all the yaers going we didnt catch any adult striped bass even tho we caught plenty of baby striped bass. As i was trying to pass the time away catching the baby stripers with my hand made baby fish catch stick lol i caught a full grown blue gill with a red chest (but at the time i had no idea on what it was till i got home and googled blue gill). the next day my friend caught a baby blue like 2-4 inchs long and i put him in my top-aware box with hole to let water flow threw for the last night there and on the way back to cali he rode in a ice chest full of river water for the car ride. got him home safe and put him in my 125 gal with my other fishies and at 1st my tiger oscar was just chaseing him around not trying to bite him just chased him showing him whos boss lol. so its been 4 days since i put him in there and hes chaseing my corys outa ther side of the tank but they just go back lol. but i went and got live feeders for my oscar like i do once a month and meal worms for the bluegill but when i put the feeders in the tank the blue ate one up was awsome didnt expect him to do that but i guess hes not a picky eater of live food like i thought he would. wont take pellets yet but once i know hes fine in my tank ill put him on a hunger strike and force him to take shrimp and floating pellets like what i did to my oscar lol. ill post pics up tommorow speaking i dont have a light on my tank and have to wait for the sun to come up lol

The only thing I'm going to add to this thread, is that its a terrible idea to keep a fish if you have no idea what it is...not only is it irresponsible but you could be breaking laws.

Use omega one if he's picky has a meat base buy small container see if it works if it does after that move him to reg my bluegill are on omega one it works wonderfully petco has a sale on it now I believe!

Watch what fish you put in there with him. I too did this and thought 'what a cool idea!' one by one all my fish started disappearing and the blue gill kept getting bigger and bigger. They're surprisingly veracious.
