My 1st FH..any good?

i just got this FH. can somebody tell me if its a male or female? i know there's diff kinds of FHs, what kind is this? is it a good quality FH?

i also tried to put a green terror in the tank but he doesnt seem to like it. is it possible to put another FH or another fish? thanks

Looks like a boy to me... Not high quality I'm afraid. It will depend on the fish if you can have tankmates with him. What size is the tank?

how much was he and quality doesnt matter just as long as you like the fish!

You can tell by the red in the fins and body along with the starting signs of blues on the body that this flowerhorn has a lot of potential to be a great looking fish.......Its hard to tell the sex without venting the fish at that young age and flowerhorns especially can be really hard to sex.......I have owned females with huge KOKs on their heads and with long trailing dorsal fins....if you had seen the female I am describing you would have said it was a male......so you are gonna have to wait and see on the sex of your fish. Flowerhorns will always look better with age. The babies I have raised look more and more colorful with each passing month. Then they turn into 10-16 inch monsters with full color.....

got it for 20 bux but it was much smaller then...i like the fish of course but just wanted to learn more about it's quality since i was intrigued by the many different kinds of FH's (Kamfa etc etc.). I also learned that they could cost as much as 500 bux depending on the quality. I've had guests over who told me the spots on my FH look like Chinese characters. the tank is 30g. thanks fellas.

from self experience i think a 30 is too small for tank mates, i tried putting a pleco in with one of mine in a 50 and it killed it a day later, ive seen some people get away with it, but im just unlucky

I agree it looks like it has a lot of Tmac in it. How long is it?
