Well I have almost achieved MFK tank status! Thank you Ebay...

Rena 120x50x74cm, approx 380litres (about 100 US gallons), comes with two Rena fluoresent light units with a white and blue 30W bulb each, an Ehiem Professional canister filter, Vecton UV25 steriliser and sulphur denitrification reactor with connecting pipework.

And all for the bargain price of £115.39!! LOL.
Am due to pick it up Thursday.... gotta book a van lol.

Now here's where I ask you guys what you think for stocking,,,, I already have my 5 inch Oscar and 5 inch Bristlenose Plec which are going to move over. I also have on reserve a Synodontis which is maxed out at 8 inches(it looks like a Cuckoo, but I am not sure...will post a picture soon), do you think this is OK and enough for the tank or any ideas for other inhabitants?

Cheers fellow MFKers!

I've got a 33 gallon at the moment so quite a jump!

One more Q.... its going in my bedroom, do you think the floor will be ok? It is going to have a wall behind it, the wall is the "outside" of the house. I am above the garage.

i would add to that stock list: 2 green severums ,firemouth and one green terror then your about fully stocked and you could add tiger barbs for dithers but i would get xodons really kool dithers, and fun to watch in a shoal and eat.

I will disagree on the exodons, I've always found them to cause a lot fin nips and scale damage on cichlids, which makes for a more stressful tank. I'd go with a Paratilapia polleni in there. Truly one of the most personable hardy cichlids

congrats! The weight of a 100 gallon will ok.

hehe thanks guys, the weight was worrying me.
I was really thinking about a red headed severum, ornate birchir, 6 or so green tiger barbs and maybe a couple of firemouths.... sound good?

So,
1x oscar (5inch at the mo)
1x bristlenose plec (maxed at 5 inch)
1x synodontis (8inch)
1-2 x red headed severum
1x birchir (dunno which type yet)
5-6 x tiger barbs

Would there be room enough for firemouths?
