Here's a pic of one of my new Motoro pups. My buddy Dupe's pair had them Sunday when he was over helping me install my wetdry system on my 230. When he got home his Mbu puffer had already bitten off the tails of 2 and into a 3rds tail, 1 was perfect. He asked me to come get them and raise them and I more than HAPPILY obliged! I'm keeping them in a 40 long for now so they can put on some size before moving them up. To my 230, which was their parents old tank. The 40 long has tiny pea gravel which they can bury themselves in, 230 is all sand which my Geos are loving. I'm feeding live grass shrimp, locally harvested and frozen bloodworms. 3 out of the 4 survived, but only 1 has a full tail. I plan To baby these babies. Any input or advice would be appreciated...

lol...they eat alot.

Too bad the puffer got their tails, but they will heal and look good either way. On a positive note, if it was bitten off high enough, you wont have to worry about a stinger growing in. Personally, I would grow em up a bit and sell off two as a 230 will be too small. Actually a bit small for two adults, but part of that depends on how big they grow. Some females get 24"+ disc. I imagine the parents tank was upgraded due to their size? Congrats, and good luck. Watch the water parameters with 4 in a 40L (should be fine for awhile).

The two in question have their tails bit off VERY high up, all the way to the base so maybe I will get lucky and have their tails grow back w no stinger and sell the one in perfect shape at a later date. They are doing great!
