This is a short video of my indoor pool pond. It has been very fun to watch it flourish over the past year.

Species: Silurus Meridional, Mirror Carp (Cyprus Carpio), Grass Carp, Yellow Perch, Alligator Gar, Aral Barbel, Channel Catfish, Koi

Please tell me your thoughts.

I live in rural Colorado so this project has been a massive undertaking. Lots of DOA's.

Silurus get very long...and would be a big threat for other fishes...

This is the chinese wels… they dont get anywhere near the size of their european counter parts. A mere 24-30” at best in captivity.

Very cool and unique, George. Great job! What is the meridionalis mouthing at on the surface?

Pellets. I never actually pellet trained him but he eventually noticed the other fish doing it and started copying them. This was a farm raised fish originally, I got it from Wes a few years ago. I think it just had to “relearn” how to eat pellets. It did take about 3-4 months.

the one in this video was close to 2 ft and completely stopped growing. Maybe in the outdoor pond if it lives it will get bigger?
