150 is a good start, but those are some aggressive cichlids and that knife should get good bit over 24"

i have a friend who has a 240g sittin in his garage. go big or go home and forget about the 150? might as well. how long do you guys think the 55g will last with the fish i have. right now in the 55 its gonna be the gt, male and female jag, frontosa, clownknife, pleco. im a little worried about the jags because right now the female in the pic above is about to lay eggs. if they do breed im not sure what will happen to the rest of my fish. would the jags kill everything? thanks everyone for the input.

already talked to him and he said as long as i provide the beer and let him help set it up, he'll sell it to me for 150 bucks. i am going to use the 55 g for a while though. dont really have the money right now.
