You are very correct - he tries to buddy up with every cichlid in the tank. I have read that they don't play well with others of their own kind unless you have a large school, which I obviously don't have room for. I am growing out some Chalceus to see how that works out...

Yes you do.
He was supposed to go to a different tank a long time ago, but he is my wife's favorite. It's not often she takes an interest in a fish, so this one stays in the living room as long as he doesn't start any fights.

Thanks, man. Your 135 is coming along really nice, can't wait to see those citrinellus (sp?) grow up. I have been wanting to do a CA community or pair in my 135 but right now it is full of some SB G. steindachneri that I don't know what to do with...
Yeah man you should setup a CA tank if you can find the room. Would love to see an update on your snapper.
