IN YOUR HEAD
been a while since i updated my gar. it is in a 180gal and i have had it 1.5-2yrs or so. i'll try to find the time i got it. it has been in this tank all its life with me thus far. i am looking into a larger display for all of my monsters, but it is still ok for now. this summer i hope to find some wild shortnose and longnose to go with it. first are of when i got it, then today. here are the pics of the bestie:headbang2

One of the nicer Floridas I've seen. How wide is the tank? If it's 24", the gar seems like there is more than 2" between it and the sides.

thanx, it is a 24" wide tank, its tail is a little bent on the back of the tank and the fish is almost always at some kind of angle to the sides. if it isn't 22" it is damn close to. my camera and the glass are deciving in pictures as alot of the pics are angled to the glass to prevent glare on the glass for the pic. i don't have a high end camera so i have to use flash to get a clear pic.

a few more shots of it, it loves to hang out in the swards. then a shot of its 22" tankmate that i measured and when they are side by side the lengths are about the same. i guess if it ever bails again i could tape it when it is out. i will be doing everything in my power to prevent another venture to the floor though. my heart drops every time i have found it on the floor total now of 5 or 6 times. i about cry as i am going to pick up the dried gar on the floor the it springs to life and i just get it to the tank as fast as i can. lots and lots of duck tape hold on the lid aswell as tile and shop lights.
