im in the process of upgrading my 90 to a 240 I have a sump system now but I know that its not big enough and my new tank has 2 built in overflow boxes instead of one im new to setting up a tank this size and im looking for any ideas and suggestions to make sure I do it right the first time.

45 Gallon Minimum Sump with a 2" drop in the main tank. 48x12x19.
45 Gallon sump will hold about 90 liters of bio media. 132 sqin mechanical area. 34 liters of mech volume.

60 Gallon Minimum Sump with a 4" drop in the main tank. 48x12x23.
60 Gallon sump will hold 106 liters of bio media. 132 sqin mech area. 39 liters of mech volume.

The dimensions I gave are very important.

how much water flow do you recommend for this size tank and sump Im movingapox 700 gph with my current pump along with apox 160 lbs of live rock

They need to be plumbed to the same filter. It will get really squirrely when you have two sumps.
