got it back yesterday from my buddy that bought it a few months back.....it had my old fish plus a giant pleco, a parrot cichlid and 9 african cichlids i took the ones tha he had added to my LFS and traded them in for some back substrate..i took some of our left over tiles from my old apartment and placed those in the bottom and spread the black substrate over it all.....i think it turned out well....glad to be back:)

Love the lima shovelnose :D
How big/old is it?

What are you planning to do with the shovelnose hybrid in the future? Nice tank nonetheless..

i just moved in to a new house and i actually have a back yard and its pretty big so im probably gonna turn an above ground pool into a pond like i'd been planning a while now....he should be alot bigger than what he is now but my friend never cleaned the filters the few months he had the setup so i think poor water quality stunted his growth a bit , the hybrid and the tsn that is all the others seem to have grown some.

Oh I see, I always wanted to do an above ground pond...

Ya that fish will grow quick. Mine is 8 mo old and went from 1.5"-23" I bought just before Xmas last year.

nice hybrid and tank

yeah i got him in feb of this year at 1.5" and hes now about 10"...he would be bogger if he was in the tank alone and if the water quality the past few months woulda been better.

nice tank. may i recommend getting some more more substrate and some drift wood and maybe a few rock caves im sure your knife would like that. and i always thought that volcano's looked silly imo haha. and nice oscars are they a pair? oh and whats the gar?
