Year 2011 I started to build aquarium from reinforcement waterproof concrete. Dimensions are 600x170 cm and there is 100 cm water level. Tank volume is 9600 litres (2500 gallons). Front glass panel has 3,8 cm thickness with weight 580 kilos.

Very nice first post!

Welcome to MFK, I'll be watching for updates on this project.

Wow! It looks like a commercial building from the bird's eye view. Welcome to MFK. Glad to have you here.

I'm a big supporter of giant 1000 gallon plus cement tanks. I have plans of building a fish room on to my future house one day that will be a giant cement tank with large viewing windows.

Can this be done by any cement contractor? or is this a speciality skill set in the cement world? I mean if I lived in Slovakia I would just contract these guys and be done with it. Who does this kind of work in the US?
