90 gallon sump for filtration

Stock:

1x Vieja Blackbelt Male
1x Vieja Zonatus Female (Pair)
2x Jack Dempsey
1x Firemouth
1x Senegal Bichir
6x Clown Loaches
1x Gold Gourami (put in tank when i started it just temporarily, couldn't fish him out of there but he is surprisingly left un-bothered and thriving)

I just recently stocked:
6x Giant Danios
6x Silverdollars

Probably about 30 4-week old fry

The tank has been up for about 6 months now. I started out with 5 vieja, sadly, when two of them bred they killed off the other three of them. The male blackbelt is the boss and by far the biggest of the tank.

The first time breeding, the fry made it about a month and they all disappeared suddenly within a few days, don't know who or how. They spawned again a month ago and I've moved some of them to other tanks but there still are some babies in this tank.

Let me know what you think.

Yeah nicely done.I'm about ready to remove the tiles from my 265 and go back to a more natural look.

I had that issue with a goldfish. I put it in to help cycle the tank before adding my old caribes.... long story short he lived in there for 6 years and he now has been at my sisters for 7.....

Crazy how it works. The breeding vieja's also killed off an oscar and green terror but not the jack Dempsey's (they were all the same size). The Dad will still chase the JD's off if they get too close to the babies but he will let the gourami swim right by

Any suggestions with the vieja fry? I have some in a 46 gallon bow front and in a 10 gallon. Both housed with other small fish but they seem to be left alone. I would take more out of the main tank but they seem to be catching onto me and disperse when they see a net, can't get anymore
