I took out a lot of drift wood and plants yesterday. I hated the PVC pipes. I wanted more swimming room for the fish and less barriers. The fish seem to like it... Well, the catfish not so much. My camera sucks and the water was a little cloudy from moving everything around only a few hours before I took the shots. Next up is another FX5!!!

Looks great, man. Very tempted to put black sand in my 270 when she gets finished.

I really like the black sand, but hate when it gets sucked into the filters!!! If you do use sand make sure you do not put any type of air stone/bubble maker near the filter intake. I learned the hard way.

Oh I have white sand in one tank, but have had it in multiple. I know.

Fx5 is a good choice. The Eheim 2262 or 2260 will serve you better. Great looking tank.
