my 3 Channa Orientalis

Bought these 3 today the great thing about these is that they only get 15 cm / 5.9 inch. so dont need a huge tank, i have these in my 40 gallon tank.
They will be alitelbit nicer in color when older..

To me this is not orientalis.....but Channa gachua.....

Do they have pelvic fins?

And as the others say: COVER......hiding places,dim light....make them a home.....

Doesn't matter, a correctly "Covered" Channa tank will be jam packed with plants, rocks and wood.
A few caves DOESN'T cover it.

Also, those are not Orientalis.
I can see pelvic fins, which Orientalis do not have.

... Gachua.

they got 1 smal pelvic fin, and 1 loong anal fin underneath
