my 4.5" spotted finally ate!

I've tried everything since i've got him. Raw shrimp, massivore pellets, silversides, flakes, beefheart, and crickets. He didn't eat any of what I listed.

However, just now i fed him hikari frozen bloodworms and he's eating away!

What is it with bloodworms that fish love so much? The aroma?

good job. Im sure now that he has tried a non live food, he will be more willing to try other things. Like demjor said, keep offering different foods and hopefully he will take them just fine.

My spotted has ate earthworms since day one. I use a thin wire that I got from the craft department at walmart. I just stick a piece of worm on the end and dangle it near the my gar and he grabs it.

this works well for me too. you can offer almost all prepared foods using this technique.
