I bought 2 silver aro last week and now i have the one who is very aggressive coz i have to give the other 1 away so it will be in good shape. Now he's alone in the tank its been a week. He eats every 2 days and he's afraid of people, everytime im trying to feed him with super worms he swims to the other end and he's like fighting the mirror and panics alot now he has a dark spot on his head when he jumped and hit the top. Anyone can help me with this problem ?

Thank You :)

He's not eating. When he has his mate he eats meal worms when i sold the other aro bcoz he bullies the other one alot he started not to eat anything. What should i feed him ?

maybe try crickets? and why not get him some small tankmates? maybe hes a bit scared cuz hes alone?

You can try adding some floating plastic plants to help him feel more secure. It may take some time for him to get comfortable in your presence

Ill try crickets and pellets at the same time he/she is 4-5 inches atm. What type of fish can i add him ? he/she is in a 29 gallon tank which is 30 L 18 H 12 W upgrading soon. I bought a small tank for him its because people said try to put him in a small tank until you see him/her eat.

Well in my opinion those that suggest keeping in a smaller tank like that are just making excuses. Personally I dont raise in anything smaller then a 55g. Baby aros have no problem finding food, especially if you set up the tank the right way. Also no tankmates are needed, I recommend keeping them solo upto about 6" and then only a very select tankmates upto 10-11".

Hmm.. Im planning to get longer aquarium but not that high just longer and has good width for him to turn. But atm he's in a 30 x 18 x 12 aquarium he's not eating.. and whenever i put food he's just looking at it, bfor on his 1st day i fed him he love the super worms now he cant eat it. Or should i put smaller worms ? or any other food u recommend

Best bet is freeze dried blood worms. Baby arowana love them, they float and are easily removed if uneaten. At the size yours is you should also be feeding broken up pellets.

At that size, you can feed him bloodworms
