I am just starting the build. The main objective is to keep the tank inexpensive. The glass, which determined the tank dimensions, was free. 98x35 piece of 1/2 inch tempered glass. The plywood is 1" thick and doubled up for a 2" thick wall and bottom. The overall dimensions so far are 104 long x 37 high x 34 deep. I will be using rubberizeit liquid rubber to seal the plywood and I'm planning on making a wet dry sump from an old 55 gallon tank. Anybody that has made a plywood tank or a tank of this size, any advice will be appreciated. And has anybody tried pressurized cannister pond filters on big tanks with cichlids?
