My $5 Thai RD

Here is the best of a group of 10 THai Fry I bought back in May. He is starting to fill out now that he is over hex. Has put on a lot of girth and length the last month. Thanks to Julie at Flowerhornsfrombeyond for the hookup.

thanks for the update he is looking good. How big do you think he is now 4-5"? I wonder if Julie has a picture of the parents of these fry I'd be interested in seeing them considering how nice all of them turned out.

yeah, I'd say he is about 4.5" I would love to see the parents. I lost one that was even better than him. It was 4" two months ago and had a bigger head and better blues and reds than him.

That sucks I think I saw the pictures of that one. How did you lose him? Everybody seems to have bad luck with flowerhorns but they always stay healthy for me I wonder if they just like my high pH or what.

I lost the best one to hex. The four best males all got hex. Lost the best. #2 and #4 are doing well and #3 is battling a second bout of it. He could be #2 if he recovers. Hex is a *****. no other fish have had it other than my FH. I will be deworming all FH fry I get from now on.

Update- I lost two more FH's. One to hex and one to bloat/hex. Here are pics of the good one. he is still healthy and improving. Good kok development since last update.

Jungle meds make it. Haven't used it yet. Read about it on another forum.
