My 55gal cichlid tank

i probably have about 50 pounds of porous rock, some of it used to be liverock in a marine tank, but it can be boiled, scrubbed and when it is free of any salt traces, should I use it too?
You think?, I was worried that they would get bigger and pick on eachother since its only a 55gal tank...I have seven random cichlids, i dont know what kind they are. I was looking to do an african cichlid tank and I was at petsmart and they had like a.... "manager's special" tank. "assorted african cichlids" I dont even know.....they may be south american or african, if i post some close up shots can we get an ID you think?Bogwoodbruce;979005; said:

The images are exposed differently so that you can see the power of the lighting, but also see some of the detail in the darker pictures.
The lights are not quite as bright as they appear in the lower pic.
Anyone want to try to ID my "manager's special" Africans?
