My 650 gallon Central-American Cichlids

This is my fiberglass tank and these are the inhabitants:
- Vieja argentea rio Tulija F1 male
- Vieja maculicauda male
- 8 Vieja synspillum/melanurus F2
- Herychtis pearsey F1 couple
- Amphilophus citrinellus couple

I'd love to keep an Arowana in this tank... is it too risky? The bigger cichlid has about 20cm, but the synspillum/melanurus F2 born in my tanks have 8/14cm. I'm waitin g for 6 festae even smaller. Can I have a small arowana too? Never had one and I'm still reading all information I can.

A silver aro would probably work, they stay higher in the water column and should not bother the cichlids.

I have a large silver arowana coming up to 2' and he never bothers any of the cichlids and other small fish in my tank

Your tank is 5x larger than mine and you have less algae - I need to step my game up! Great tank - love the viejas! That argentea is a beast!
