He was a beauty... he was always in great shape. Grew up in a 150 then because he was a mad killer he lived in a 90 gallon for about 3 years. Always had pristine water conditions. Never even felt water with a nitrate higher than 15. Was always fed top foods like Hikari Cichlid biogold +. I guess sometimes genetics is genetics. I measured him after I found him dead. He topped out at 14" TL and was at least 3" thick at the belly.

I honestly think he just got old and died. I am almost positive he went blind. For about 6 months now I noticed when I dropped in food he would dive at it and would miss on the first go every time. Last night I was trying to livein him up by putting my fingers on the glass and moving them so he would chase them. He didn't even move. He just sat at the top of the tank with a blank stare like he didn't even see anything.

Wow I serioulsy didn't realize how much of a panzy I was until this fish died LOL I have had him about 6.5 years. Never had to dispose of such a large fish before. What do you with it??? Anyways just wanted to let you know that a Trimac is a awesome fish and I recomend everyone having one.

Sorry for your loss. Your fish looked amazing.

Bummer, I read the last thread and wish I had some advice to give you. What an amazing fish, sorry for your loss
