I built this last spring. Due to me renting i had to do an above ground pond since it isn't a permanent residence. I now have 7,000 gallon liner from a pool for when we buy a house in the near future, I want to have a big pond for when my lima shovelnose catfish and sturgeon turn into monsters. This 700 gallon pond does well for the koi, and looks good up against the porch. It has a 2000 gph pump into a 2500 gph pressurized filter with uv. 2 fountains and color changing light/ foggers. Let me know what you think

They are small.. The shovelnose are in my 90 gallon aquarium and only aprox 6 inches, and my sturgeon is a baby only 3 1/2 inches in a different aquarium

Haha ya thanx.. I'm not looking forward to trying to load this thing in a truck ..I'm going to need a forklift or something

Pretty cool. Ive thought of doing something similar to this w/ wood. But then Id put glass lids over the top to keep heat in so I could have tropical fish in it.

NIce build!

Thanks.. I have had my koi in my ponds in ohio weather for the past 3 years, it would take to much to keep it heated I think for tropical fish to survive here.. But I would like to if I could find a way that won't break the back
