This is my first saltwater tank from keeping fresh for several years. I was using this as a breeder for my jaguars but i got them a 120g for the better and wanted to do somethiong with my 75 so this is what i set up in the past month.

My equipment right now is Marineland 350 Hob, eheim 2236 canister, reef octopus Bh 100ss hob, Didnt know i was doing a sump till later research so i dont have an in sump one yet but will later on, rena 100watt heater, and lighting for now is a 2 bulb 108watt hagen glo that i got for 80 on craigslist but i just orderd a oddyessea 4 bulb fixture for $89 dollars what a great deal but ill judge it when i get it.

my stock list right now is 2 marroon clowns, coralbanded shrimp and scorpas tang.
Custom stand built for only 40 bucks but paint was 30 and never spray paint if you do cause it sucks use primer and paint in one by glidden.

Orderd 30lbs of rock from Aloha-aquariums.com for about 100$

Changed it up for some caves

Then changed it up again i like this one the best because of the multiple caves i got and have good water flow from my return pump so no need for more than 2 powerheads.

Sump cost was 30 for tank at petsmart, bought some 3/4 inch glass from home depot and use GE I for silicone, Does anyone know what i can put in the center ? I have a hob overflow box that runs to the part with the live rock then down flows to the center and after is the bubble trap to return pump which is a quietone 600 or 1200 or something not sure.

And time to celebrate with a smoke and a drink.:Pikachu:

Anyone have any recommendation on any part of this let me know please

Your set-up is coming together nicely. I looking forward to more pics as you progress

What is size of your drain line from the tank to your sump? That info would help to recommed a return pump size. You would want to get as much flow out of your return pump as possible.

Also, you might want to add more rock. As you already have a cycled tank, I would add dry / dead rock to avoid any spike in ammoina.

Just a few thoughts and suggestions

Your tank is looking good so far

The Drain pipe is 1 inch to an elbo that connects to 3/4 inch pipe, and the return pipe is 1inch all the way with an adapter that the pump screws into.

Man...I want a plastic full size skull to drop in my 125g SW pred tank...that would be so sweet once it got a dusting of algae on it and no one could tell the difference ha ha.

my suggestion is only about up-grading. If you system is healthy and stable you really should not change anything unless you want add more fish or corals

Based on your info, you really only have a 3/4" drain line size which should give you about a 300 to 350 gph rate. I would suggust looking into adding a second drain line to increase the drain flow rates and then a larger pump to move that extra water through your display tank. A 1" return line is good for return pumps up-to around 1300 to 1600 GPH.

I really like how you have arrange your rock in the last pic. Thos cave look really great

yah everything is good for now, i will be adding alot more rocks probly another 30-45lbs and i got my snowflake eel last night about 10 inches hes great. also what do you think i can add in the middle column of the sump

If your not going to put a skimmer in your sump, I would put the heaters and some more of the live rock you are planning to buy. If you find you have a few pcs that just don't seam to stack well with the rest of them, put them in the sump.

I wish I could put more rock in my sump.
