Brian, you have some great species and very nice taste. The Geophagine (eartheaters) will do best with more than 2 per species and will not all be able to stay in that tank for life, they prefer to be kept in groups of 4 or more but at that size you have time on your side.

You have a wonderful start to a very nice collection either way! Your second post and this tank is what you put up. Nice! Wish I would have started out like that. :D

thanks man!
i love these fish, i used to have a 6ft 125g with 27 eartheater.

i had to get rid of the tank do to its size.
it was just to much for my room.

but i am getting another 75g so i will be expanding my collection.

i really want to find some retroculous lapidifer and xinguensis again.

those are my faves.

You've kept Retroculus before? Have any pics? Would love to see them!

i didnt have a camera at the time, i also had a pair of red head araguia, those are my second favorite geos.

i only had these for 4 months and then ike took them away:cry:

Looking nice.

Few questions though, please don't take them the wrong way:

Are you planning a tank upgrade within the next year? Everything but the Orange Heads are very big fish and have pretty reasonable growth rates.

Secondly, you're clearly a fan of Eartheaters and other peacefuls, why so many fish but a lack of any in a shoal of 4+? With two of so many species I'd give you a pretty reasonable chance that you're going to run into problems with multiple males of the same species. A. heckelii would be my greatest concern with this, but altifrons and abalios can also be relentless aggressive if there's not enough conspecifics to pursue.

That's just my input on the tank, everything looks pretty happy and healthy at the moment.

Edit: Just read you're planning another 75. Will be interesting to see what happens when you split everything up as aggression between species may become more of a factor.
