sorry for flaming but that is one overstocked tank not now but considering the size thease fish will get in the next 6 months to a year. I hope you have a 180 for those gars and a 240 for your dats, silver dollars and poly as i would not mix those species together for long and ultimatley when full grown they will need at least that much space but im sure you know that so will you be upgrading soon?

Yup i'm aware for that.. my silver dollar bichir and gar all get along fine for now.. :) around 1 year i'll upgrade this tank to either one 200 gal or two 125gal tank (Datz will go with the slver dollar & Gar will go with bichir).. and it will hold for another 1 years.. before i back for good to my hometown.. which some of the best Datz here will be transfered to my 400gal the rest will be sold.. and my gar will go to own species tank 200gal.. ahhh.. i really want to fast forward time.. geezz.. i think these plan should be good since Datz is a slow grower

i just chill infront of tank and watch them grow its part of the funn. i currently have 6 it datz in a 125 with plans on upgrading they are about the same size as yours and i have the same issue with stable coloration. theirs always 2 that are just a bit unstable and its not always the same two so im sure its normal behavior for my group. just feed them well and keep up on water changes they will come around eventually. i have been considering more fish as my tank does look bare with 6 2-3 inch fish in it but im thinking maybe guppies or mollys. i would like for the tank to have some movement and look like a comunity and the datz to ultimatley be the only ones left without having to sell off or setup a seperate tank

yea bro its a lot of fun.. i always watch and think is my dat growing bigger? lol.. and when 1 dat have big MP on his mouth.. the whole datz will be chasing him and trying to take that MP like a rugby match inside the tank.. it's really a stress cure.. :D i want my datz become big faster....
the gar i add is to make some movement around the top area of the tank..
before the gar arrive.. the tank looks really empty.. note that my biggest datz is 2" and most of them around 1.5"+..

some says arowana is proven to help datz stable.. but.. asian aro is to expensive  and it's not 100% proven the datz will be stable..

Its the other way around.

It doesnt look too over stock. Plus the dats grow slow anyways so i think the dat's would do fine until they get a little bigger. The thing you just need to worry about is the gar and the poly :)

Thanks guys for the comment :D really clears things up for me,
yesterday i saw really great deal on 2tier 4x2x2 so i snap that.. later on,i'm planning to move the gar & bichir on below tank and the Datz on the Top Tank.. but for now i'll house all in 1 tank first.. i think this should be good for next 1/2 years is it? correct me if i'm wrong.. :)
