So I am unemployed at the moment and in between semesters of school so I find myself sitting in my fish extra stuff supply closet wanting to actually use some of this stuff. Now I must say I am a serious impulse buyer and have a ton of random things that go to projects that I don't even know I bought stuff for. So I am that guy 10,000 projects planed and started. 2-3 actually finished. So I wanted to add more light to my 60g. It worked out because I have a 4' led light tube I bought off E Bay (I don't recommend them at $40). so I thought why not add it to my existing lighting. SO here is my im broke solution.

So all that has been driving me nuts all weekend so on monday I sold somestuff (like my soul ) but still did not have enough money to clean it all up. Then I found a way to get some money.Don't pay bills till they are due. So I ordered to compact lights from Foster and Smith along with a power supply with built in timers. I already have some moon white lunar lights. I needed a place to put it all so I went to Lowes and grabbed an $8 2x6 redwood and built this to hold everything. Now I am just sitting on my couch waiting for the Fed Ex guy to show up so I can finish.

So my girl comes home shortly after I posted and asked if I was ready to go. I forgot she had jury duty today and we were gonna have a nice lunch together. So of we go and all I could think about was if my box ad arrived. Well it did shortly after we got home. I un pack the box and lay it all out and notice the first of a series of my mistakes. One I thought these lights could be screwed under the board. Could of done better research or looked for a LFS that sold them and checked them out first. Next as I look closer at the lights something does not seem right about the bulbs. Well upon closer inspection of my recipt I had orderd the ones for a reef tank not fresh water so they have a 10k bulb and a actinic bulb. So in to the garage and some quick work with a router I made slots for the lights to sit on top and holes for the light to shine through. Set it all up re do the wiring, which is still not as organized as I like it but I am upgrading tanks in a few months so it will due till then. Lastly I vacumed the living room for you all to see.
