My 9" Male Geophagus sp. brasiliensis

He's almost reaching the max. size ever recorded!!!!

Very nice! I love geophagus, fantastic fish. I have only seen a couple larger than that, both in the same tank in a zoo
I think the key to having your fish gorw huge is a very large tank, quality food and well filtered water.
I have had a 1" Humbug cat (Platydoras armatulus) grow to 7" in less than a year in my 350G, im going for the largest humbug cat ever lol apparently 9.6" is the largest ever recorded in captivity

Thanks! I actually got him when he was about 7", so he only grew 2" in like two months.
