Hi! This morning i have faced a very big loss due to my carelessness. Last night i heard a thud in my fish room and as i was sleepy just checked the 11" monkey face FH (one of 7 FH i have) as according to my assumptions she was the only one capable of hitting her tank cover and making such noise. Well she was in her tank, sleeping, and i went back to bed.
This morning as I went to feed them saw my 4" AA neon red FH lying on the floor all dried up. It had jumped out of the tank for reason known only to her. I kicked myself for not checking all of them.

lesson learned: DO NOT ignore the strange sound you heard in your fish room and when you do check all the fish you have.

there are alot of times when i will hear a splash and think.... should i? i used to get out of bed alot because of such things. but after never having an issue, i usually dont anymore... there is only one tank i have that is not completely covered anyhow.

wow that happened to me once but i guess its different cause mine was a baby goldfish and yours was a exspensive FH

I heard a thump coming from my 40 gal and panic cus it was the tank i have a 3 inch bala shark in. (best looking one I have ever seen, its sheen in the light is like an oil slick). turned out to be a dwarf gourami, I sat there wondering how why and how a dwarf gourami could jump like that!

Lol and then to get past the lid as well! If there was one?

Same happened to me and the next day my spotted gar had a twisted spine.
