my ac 110, loud grinding noise?

hi, all i've had my ac110 for about 6mnths, last week it made a horrible grinding noise! i had to unplug! i cleaned everything out, taking the wheel and magnet piece out and scrubed with a wire brush, it was working a lil scratchy but working, then all of a sudden the loud grinding noise came back!!! i have sand substrate.

When you removed the impeller (wheel & magnet piece), was there anything in there?

i didn't see anything, and i have sand as my substrate

clean it a bit, i had the same problem with sand also. It's really quiet now.

make sure its not the lid vibrating.

if you have cleaned the impeller housing properly, it should not grind unless your pin is worn down and the impeller is sitting off-center..
