My acrylic tank is bowing on the top, Please look.

I just noticed yesterday the top of my tank is bowing around one of the openings and not sure what to do or if it is going to cause a problem with the tank.. If you look down the front or back of it there is no bowing at all it is only on the top on one end!!!

I'm not sure who the tank is made by I bought it off craigslist about 5 years ago and have never had any problems with it, it has a canopy on it so I never noticed this till yesterday when I was doing a wGeneral Aquaria Discussionater change on it.. It is a standard 8 x 2 x 2 1/2" thick acrylic tank, Is this something I need to be concerned about it cracking or is this normal? I would really appreciate any help anyone can give me with this.. I agree add supports, but not with silicon. Use acrylic and weld-on for acrylics.

Is anybody else having problems with getting pictures to load? I have been trying for 2 days now and they won't work!! I am using the same laptop I have always used and have never had this problem before..

Any advice from anyone? thanks in advance!!

Acrylic tanks can show a little bow in the euro brace. It's fairly normal to see that. Sounds like your tank is built from 1/2 which should be good. Is the euro brace fairly large on the top? How big are the openings? Is the top made from one piece of acrylic or multiple pieces welded together.
