06.JPG08.JPGDSC_0111.JPGDSC_0112.JPG02.JPGHello everyone - thanks for sharing your experience on lungfish keeping. To post an update on my aethiopicus: the fellow measures just over 54cm as of today (06 Oct 13). Furthermore, it has gone through a dramatic personality change in the last three months. Not only has it overcome its shyness, it is now actively hunting for food (the occasional feeders, crayfish, tadpoles that I put in ;)). Attached are few photos that I took last week. Believe me, I tried to decorate the tank but gave up at the end. All plants are dug up and deco messed about with by this guy; it is behaving like a small pig :irked:. Love him/her to bit though :D :D. A bare tank it is going to be in I am afraid...

Very nice looking lung. Does he have any hiding places? He would be more comfortable if he did.

Hi. That is a very nice looking lungfish. I love lungfish. I have had many species of them but currently have one. A 26 inch albino Protopterus annectens. If you put a dark backgroung on your tank, your lungfish might darken up a bit. Congrats on such a cool fish!
