My agressive tank

Ive been wanting to make a tank that is the most agressive possible. im in the reaserch phase. any suggestions on what fish i should put in. they need to be the meanest possible.

tank size perferably 55 but will go up around 125-180 range
 
ah i remember when i wanted to do this, just the meanest fish possible haha.
well if your going freshwater , which im guessing you are , i'd order a wolf fish from somone in the classifieds. You can only really have one big monster in a 55.

And when you get really mean fish you cant really keep them together either :(.

these are all cichlids--
jaguar
red devil
midas
green terror
red terror
oscar
flowerhorn
dovii
umbe
texas
arowana
any of those are fun.
 
Are snakeheads legal in your state?
 
there is a plethora of species of aggressive cichlid from which you can consider, and quite a few can live in a 55 gallon tank. How about Melanochromis auratus...one of the most aggressive pound for pound (ounce for ounce?)
 
If you were willing to go with a 120+ size tank, you could always house a Fahaka Puffer... definitely going to be aggressive + curious enough to keep you busy...
 
whats your deffinition of aggressive?... whats your experiance level? and willingness to devote to the tank? may sound rude.. but that is not the intention. Fahaka puffers require some true dedication to feeding, and maintaining their beaks. Do you want something like a piranha which will rip apart feeders like a dog with a bone, but otherwise be very reclusive and shy as a general rule? Do you want something thats going to be boisterouse and personable and want to intereact with you like an Oscar or many of the other Cichlid species? you say 55 to 125-180 range... Start in a 55? then go up? or get the larger tank right off the bat?

What are you personally interested in when you say Aggressive? and mean? What would this "perfect" tank be? you'll get alot better answers, and help people narrow down your options realistically. And hopefully help you pick the right fish for you.
 
Exodon Tetras are pretty nasty. I had one draw blood when it tried to taste a freckle on my arm. you could do quite a few in a 55.
