My Alligator Gar

Nice. I am looking for a good size red tail cat or tiger shovel nose now but they seem to be hard to come by.
Nice gar man! How long did it take to get that big? I have one that looks like a miniature of him and hes about 9 inches.
I actually just bought him a few days ago...he is very active and those feeders are so tiny. I have to get some larger ones next go around.

Try getting him to take pellets and/or pieces of fish/shrimp; you'll save a ton of money while still providing your gar with a safe and balanced diet.
Also, you'll have to watch with putting an RTC, TSN, or RTC x TSN in there with him; it's barbels will get shredded for sure. However, it might work in a larger pond setting as it has worked out for at least one member that comes to mind.
