In this thread I will be posting updates on my Amatitlanis Nanolutae and many, many friends.

Tank stocking is:
6X Amatitlania nanolutae
7X Sahyadria denisonii (Roseline shark)
20X Hyphessobrycon erythrostigma (Bleeding heart tetra)
9X Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi (Black neon tetra)
1X Chalceus macrolepidotus (Pink tailed Chalceus)
10X Corydoras trilineatus (Reticulated Julii)

I wanted a different type of tank than a single big fish... think I accomplished that

Really cool. Will the nanolutae coexist together long-term? Or are you just going for a pair?
I am hopeful that I can keep them all in the one tank.
All that I have heard about Nanolutae that as cichlids they are real mellow, that and some luck of getting 3 females and 3 males I could end up with three pairs. We shall see how it pans out, this is my first time raising Nanolutae.

Beautiful tank! Good job!

Following.
About to attempt something similar but with swordtails instead of roselines in a planted 80g
What's growing on the driftwood? Are you using root fertilizer tabs for the plants?

Its called black beard algae, it rode in on plants about a year back.
I did use root tabs. Two rows of them spaced 6 inches apart. One row down the back, one up front.
