I had 7 angels in my tank and now i'm down to 3 i don't know why they are dying

my water is ideal i already know that its a 125g they ranged from 1-3 inch i feed them tropical flake food once a day, and its weird b/c i i had four for a few weeks then i bought two other ones and had them for about a week, then the two ended up dead and i got three more and they died now my original four have two dead out of them WTF

what does IDEAL mean.. what is the ph, ammonia, nitrates and nitirites. What temp is your tank at?

There is a change the new ones you brought home had something and now its spreading to all the others...
If they are babies, you need to be feeding twice a day untill they get bigger, then once a day is ok. They need to vitamens from the food to grow bigger and healthy.
Add some salt and maybe some meds.. just watch the amount of meds you add. Or maybe get flake food that has meds in it already..
Do a 30 to 40% water change also before adding salt and meds....

You really should be sure it's not other fish preying on the little guys before you just start throwing things in the tank, hoping something will work. That does more harm than good. Don't add salt unless you have a reason to, and at this point, you don't have a reason.

I was having the same problem. I had good water; a little under 7 ph, no ammonia or nitrite... It ended up being the stock. I was getting angels from a pet store that was stocking poor quality. I now go through a store that uses a local breeder.

By the time they make it to the chain petstores, they have been starved and mistreated and have a low chance of survival. Finding a local breeder would be ideal.

These are "local" stores; not Petco or Petsmart, but they still had low quality... that and i think they weren't taking very good care of their tanks..
