my annectens lungfish

i got this guy last june 27th at about 8".. at that time he had some cuts on his dorsal and a portion of caudal fin was torn out.. his limbs were also cut short.. these were probably done by some tankmates while in the lfs..

he's now grown to about 10" ..

his limbs have grown back considerably but the cuts on his fins have little change or improvement.. does it really take that long for them to regenerate their fins?

thanks.. i've been feeding him beefheart, shrimp and anchovies

tankmates are a red hook, black barred and ordinary silver dollar.. so far no problems with aggression
