Hello there I am new , I have two tanks one 80 gallons and other 10 gallons
I want to know whether I should remove the fishes that are not compatible or not

I have most of the knowledge that what fish is compatible with what , my plan was to build a South American peaceful fish tank , and it goes as planned but some more fish are added that I don't want to

Actually this tank is already setup around 1.5 months ago where I got the green severum pair first and added others , I went only one time to our nearest biggest aquarium store and there were not the species I want so my uncle brought some like red eye tetras and redtail sharks which I don't want but they seem ok.
But after that my uncle brought fishes two times without knowing me as the aquarium store is bit far from my house so uncle went there for some work and eventually brought some new fishes .

The fishes were great like uarus and black ghost , and yesterday he brought a yellow flagtail and one redshoulder severum and a pair of dwarf gouramis, I know that gouramis can't works in this big tank , but what I do I have betta in my 10 gallon and way bigger than gouramis

Pls give some suggestions what I do here are all the fishes I have
2 green severum (palm size )
1 red shoulder severum (brought yesterday same size as green's one )
2 red spotted severum (baby size)
2 uarus (same as red spotted )
2 yoyo loach
3 angels
2 Bala (silver) sharks
1 yellow flagtail (brought yesterday)
2 black ghost (thinking I should remove 1)
4 redtail sharks (thinking to have 1 only)
Above all are compatible I think .

These are which I want to remove, suggest should I do or not
1 pleco
10 red eye tetras
2 rosy barbs
2 colour widow tetras
2 dwarf gouramis

My uncle is now saying that all I don't put more now , suggest me what I do , should I keep themIMG20230929162746.jpg

I like severums, you have a mixture. If they mate they will hybridize.

I like yoyos too. Loaches should really be in larger groups.

Bala sharks can get a lot bigger than you may think.

Keep posting!

When all of the fish you have become adults your tank will have more fish than water in it. With the severums alone I would only keep 2 in the 80 gallon with some schooling fish.

Bro I know what you are saying, but how do I tell and taught my uncle that these fishes together can't work , he just say the aquarium store have a lot in same tank and he also say with only some fish the tank look like empty, he don't know how big severums and uarus got , I told him many times he just say when they grow than we think they fit or not

Go ahead & return all the fish on your noted return list + all the Red Tail & Bala Sharks.
The Severums, Uaru & Flagtail will eventually grow quite large & will make your 80 gallon tank look small.
At some point you'll need to decide whether to buy a much larger tank or trade in about 70% of the remaining South American fish.
Since all are currently juveniles, you have time to make decisions.

Can I do this thing that grow them all and keep one green , one red spotted and one red shoulder, both uarus(if possible) otherwise one , flagtail , and sell rest of them will it works .
Can you tell in how much time they just outgrown, like which has fastest growth rate , what food I offer them for better colouration ,

Rn have tetra bits and other high quality pellets and also offer them some veggies like I tried cucumber till now and severum just eat it with happiness , suggest more veggies.

Looks like your doing fine nutritionally. The Severums & Uaru aren't particularly aggressive & can all be kept together in a community.
In about a year most should have a rounded shape & be hand sized.
The Flagtail will likely be five or six inches & be torpedo shaped.
You'll be able to figure out which ones to keep & which to trade in.

First off, tell your uncle to stop buying fish! You've got a right mish mash there now, and as they grow that tank will be totally inadequate.

If you like the idea of a peaceful SA tank I'd get rid of everything except the severums and uaru, for now. But as they grow, and maybe pair off then you will be looking at thinning them out even more.

To give you an idea of a reasonably sensible stocking for that size tank, you're probably looking at a pair of full grown severums only!

That's how far off the mark you really are! If your uncle really wants to be helpful......tell him to buy you a bigger tank instead of more fish!!
