IMO I see a tank with many blind fish after sometime. My Payara had a great friend for a few months a 18" clown knife. The knife taught him how to eat freeze dried krill and they used to even hang out together.
Until the knife got eaten.

Really depends on individual fish, I've seen a very aggressive alpha armatus that was kept as a trio before that ended up killing one of the other armatus. only other tankmates that were in tank was a large pacu and rtc that faired well.
