Hard to get good pictures because:

A) I suck at taking pictures

B) He knows when Im about to shoot a pic and he hauls ass the other way

Got this guy +2 others from Rich at roughly 2-3" If I remember right. I have juvenile pictures when we were trying to ID them in my albums. Think they cost $50 each...what a deal :) These guys grew super fast for the first few months but slowed down somewhat thankfully or else I would've had to get rid of all 3

I Went through a rough period losing fish and moving but I've kept this guy around. He wasn't well taken care of for a few months when I was ready to leave the hobby, but I pulled through it and now hes big and mean and well loved. Roughly 14" (hard to measure) and close to 2" wide if not bigger.

Very nice fish.

Thanks

These came in 6/08 roughly.....so over 2 years ago now. Not sure if they were batch 1 or 2.

Looks good and it's nice that it has survived the rough times that you've mentioned.

He shoals with 3 large silver dollars I added recently. He pushes them out of his way when they get close, but he doesnt attack them. The other 2 armatus I had sold off, but they ended up dead...all 3 would hang out. He only eats live, and if he can fit it into his mouth its over. Hes a very calm fish taht pretty much gets along with anything that doesnt appear to be food. These guys have always impressed me with how much they can eat at a time- its AMAZING.

ps- his kill list is very long, including $300+ worth of 3-5" clown loaches. He has even taken out 3 7" algae eaters- and there is no way I thought he couldve swallowed them
