So, I was a couple hours late for my silver aro's regular feeding time and as soon as he saw me reach for the lid he swam over. I lifted the lid and before I put the shrimp in the water he came up and took it out of my hand. I found out aro's have tiny teeth. There's a tiny bit of blood on my ring finger, a little more than a typical a paper cut, but you can see all the little lines from his teeth. I thought it was pretty cool/funny.

Maybe it's time to increase his food. What do you guys think?

Hehe mine always does that...they just can't wait for food to hit the water =) What's funny is I also have 4 large tinfoil barbs in another tank that love to splash me with water whenever I drop food in...little brats :)

Isn't it great to interact with your fish? Even tho it means a little blood? haha...

^Yeah, I have 10 exodon tetras in a 55g that splash me almost daily when I feed them flakes. And I feed them 2-3 times a day. Little friggin pigs... lol

Once my aro jumped out and bit me, then when I pulled my hand back it came w/ it lol. Ended up on the floor and I had to wrestle an 18" fish back into the tank! It didnt seem to bother it though because it started eating again in like 5 seconds!

That was his way of saying WOT UP with the late brunch...LOL

I have been hand feeding my Aro and I don't know who is training who at times...
It still startles me when he completly misses the food and latches on the finger only. It's that little head shake he does that I'm trying to avoid...

I got this incident every now and then whenever I'm trying to lift up the glass cover of my monster com tank. The aros always take a bite at my fingers......:(

actually bled a bit when my jar got a hold of my fingers, bad fish.....

mine would catch like a dog and he's try to sneak jump out when I opened the lid. He came up jumping one day and smashed is bony head on my forearm, left a big bruise.
