Well guys, I just found my beloved Gu Ka'an dead on the floor in a corner. I have NO idea how he got out, the lids are tight with weights still on top. I guess that's the problem when you love a pet too m uch, when he dies it hurt too much. You all have been great, so helpful and good friends. Thanks, he was everyone's fish.

I posted my thread in the arowana forum. Gu Ka'an got out of his tank last night, I don't know how, the lids and weights are in place. I just found him in a corner, all beat to hell and dead. He faught a valiant battle. I hate myself for not hearing it and waking up. You have all been so helpful and gracious here at MFK, you made him one beautiful animal and he was a once in a lifetime special pet. Thank you for being there.

What type of aro and how big was it?
I'd be really interested to see a photo of the top of your tank.
My black aro often hits the lid and there is an opening for feeding. My nicest discus once jumped out throught it. But I was standing right next to the tank and the discus fell into the laundry basket, so it went well, but it'd be informative to know what an aro can fit trough.
