Hey guys last week i found a leak in my bulkhead so i had to drain it down and silicone it up ( dont use em ) but my aro wigged out when i went to the side of the tank , that was a week ago. water level was down 24 hours and since then hes been really skidish , now were talkin a 20" aro .... not good substaining some , what i believe to be superficial damage , but now he just sits in the corner and hasnt eaten in a week . I know its not time to freak out yet but i believe this guy broke his back once before and me and Mr Pleco pulled him through . So i guess the question is should i worry? what should i do to help him ? And should i move him

Thanks in advance:headbang2

i would leave him be... especially that if he already broke his back once and healed he will have the weakness there and any stress could make him injure it again possibly... would not want to take that chance anyway... he can go along long time before he needs to eat... does he swim okay or is he just lingering in the one spot..? they are very moody.. and sentimental.. i would just give him time to get over his attitude.,..best of luck and let us know with updates..mine went 6 weeks with out eating once and no worse because of it... just to make you feel better...

when the lights are out he swims around fine, even comes to the front to greeat me lol .I was just worried about the eating thing , plus i have 6 other active fish in with him and still have to do maint . Thanks for the info though reddevil makes me feel a lot better about the situation

well if you need to do maitenance then you need to do it carefully... maybe you can do it the opposite end that he is on... and for that i would have lights on.. slow movements etc.. so he does not get jumpy.. and water changes may stimulate his appetite... good luck and i hope he starts eating soon... but as long as he swimming... he is just moody... typical arow moodiness... your welcome.
