I have two. One I've had since last July. Seems to grow daily. I'll have to speed up the pond build In my basement cause he's already 14+ inches. The other hasn't grow since last September. I've had him since June 1st. He's about 12 inches and holding. They both eat well. LFS owner thinks the smaller one may be female. It's lower lip doesn't extend forward as far as the other. Imagine if he stayed 12 inches. That would be cool. He could stay in his little 150 gal. Breeders would want DNA he he. Watch three months from now he'll be two feet long.

Possibly. In September Igor was still growing very quickly. Wally was still smaller I believe. Now, Wally is a monster. He's at least 2 inches longer, and much bigger in girth. He's quite friendly too. He doesn't spook easily. They both eat well. Kahari sticks, gut loaded crickets, blood worms, and an occasional peeled shrimp. Igor's growth has stopped. I'm not complaining, I'd like to be able to keep an arowana in my living room. The tank would be quite boring without him (or her). Igor spooks very easily. I am also amazed at how well they get along with other fish. Wally will eat a convict on site, but let a neon live in there since his first day. Igor has never eaten a fish.
